The world’s best airports for 2025 have been ranked by air transport rating organization Skytrax, and for the 13th year, Singapore Changi has won the top spot.
Experienced travelers have had their share of delightful and horrifying airport encounters, and though rushing through an airport to make it to your gate isn’t usually a pleasant experience, airports like Changi make it worth arriving a few hours early.
Skytrax has ranked the best airports in the world according to a global survey of customers at 565 airports around the world. According to CNN, Changi is a destination in itself. Here, time at the airport is considered part of your vacation, and passengers are invited to drop their bags off up to 48 hours before their flight.
Changi offers a luxurious experience on nearly every front, with a 10-story shopping mall, indoor gardens, butterfly center, and a 131-ft tall rain vortex, which breaks the record for the world’s largest indoor waterfall.
Those passing through this airport can choose to stay overnight in a hotel, book a treatment at a spa, or enjoy art exhibitions, a museum, cinema, and dinosaur theme park. With so much to do, passengers with flights leaving Changi will need to make sure they don’t lose track of time while enjoying all the airport’s perks.
Skytrax points to Changi’s incredible gastronomy as one of the main reasons it ranks so well. The rating company also chose the airport as the winner for World’s Best Airport Dining,
Last month, CNN Business reported that Changi also plans to invest over $2 billion over the next six years on improving its facilities and services.
