Traveling HBO series “The White Lotus” lands in France for season four as an all new cast checks into the Chateau de la Messardiere in St. Tropez. Variety reports that Mike White’s hit series will shoot at a historic 19th-century castle along the French Riviera, as well as additional properties in the region and a location in Paris.
St. Tropez has garnered a reputation among the rich and famous as a hotspot for luxe vacations, yachting and partying. Plus, Vogue named the Chateau de la Messardiere one of the best hotels in the South of France. The five-star property at the center of the new season was originally constructed as a wedding gift from a wealthy cognac merchant to his daughter, Vogue reports. The property features tennis courts, a swimming pool, gardens, beach access via Rolls-Royce transfers, an onsite spa, restaurants, and children’s activities. A stay at the property runs anywhere between $3,000 and $8,000 per night.
“The White Lotus” brings a new set of wealthy hotel guests to the screen each season. Viewers watch as rich families, couples, and individuals interact with hotel staff and locals. What ensues typically involves, murder, corruption, drugs, sex, and more.
Though the antics and dramas of season four are still unknown, the cast has been revealed and includes big names like Helena Bonham Carter, Max Greenfield, Kumail Nanjiani, Vincent Cassel and others. However, some sources have hinted that a plotline could surround the Cannes Film Festival.
Previous seasons of the show took place in Hawaii, Sicily, and Thailand, all at luxurious Four Seasons resorts with incredible views and offerings. The New York Times reports the second season of the show saw upwards of 15 million viewers.
The new season is expected to air in late 2026 or early 2027.
