The Best Time to Visit the National Parks in the USA

If you are looking for some inspiration to visit the amazing National Parks in the USA, it has been announced that they will be waiving fees on certain holidays this year. The waived fees are an effort to encourage people to visit the country’s 63 national parks, all of which are natural wonders that attract millions of visitors every year. Entrance fees will be waived on the following dates in 2023:

April 12: First day of National Park Week

Aug. 4: Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act

Sept. 23: National Public Lands Day

Nov. 11: Veteran’s Day

While entrance fees are waived, this does not include the cost of ammenities or activities at the park sites.

Over the last two years, over 297 million people visited national parks and an estimated 80-100% of the fees collected remain at the park sites. To learn more about 10 of our favorite parks click here.
