Cruise Ships Will Begin Sailing This June

In a Twitter post, Celebrity Cruises revealed that they will start cruising again on June 6th. The inaugural post-pandemic cruise will be a seven-night journey around the Caribbean, launching from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. From there, the Celebrity Equinox will head to Nassau, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and Costa Maya.

The cruise company has a full month of cruising following their maiden voyage. Here’s a brief look at Celebrity’s June 2021 schedule:

June 7th: Bermuda

June 13th: Eastern Caribbean, including Puerto Rico, British Virgin Islands, and St. Maarten

June 20th: Bermuda and Newport, Rhode Island

Also joining in on the June cruise launch is Royal Caribbean. Starting on June 4th, they’re launching a Bahamas cruise, which will depart from Port Canaveral, Florida, and then visit Nassau and CocoCay, the brand’s private island in the Caribbean. They’ll be repeating this itinerary on the 11th, 18th, and 25th of June as well.

According to The Washington Post, Royal Caribbean will also be docking a vessel in the Bahamas and will be launching numerous cruises from Nassau. The Post states, “The Miami-based cruise line will base Adventure of the Seas, a 20-year-old ship that can hold 3,114 passengers at double occupancy, in Nassau from June through August. Seven-night sailings will include stops in Grand Bahama Island, Cozumel and two days at Perfect Day at CocoCay, the cruise line’s private island in the Bahamas. All staff there will be fully vaccinated.”

All adult passengers and crew will have to be vaccinated, and passengers under 18 will have to test negative for the coronavirus. For more information, visit the cruise line’s websites.
