United Airlines has made clear that they want to encourage Americans to get vaccinated. To help build enthusiasm amongst the population to get the shot (currently, only 40% of Americans are fully vaccinated and the Mayo Clinic believes we need 80% to reach herd immunity) United Airlines is giving away free flights.

And these aren’t just any free flights… they’re giving away 30 round-trip fares for two in any class of service to anywhere in the world that United flies to. On top of that, on July 1st, United will announce five randomly selected lucky MileagePlus members who have entered the sweepstakes for a grand prize of travel for a year for themselves and a companion ,also in any class of service, anywhere in the world United flies.

To enter the “Your Shot to Fly” sweepstakes, new or existing MileagePlus members simply need to upload their COVID_19 vaccination records into United’s app or on its website. It’s as easy as that.

“We’re proud to do our part to incentivize people to get their shot,” said United CEO Scott Kirby. “Thanks to the vaccine, more and more destinations are opening up for travel, and we know our customers are eager to fly. We’re excited to give people one more reason to get vaccinated so they can reunite with friends and family or take that long-awaited vacation which all could be just one shot away.”

Not only will uploading your documents help you win free flights, but it will also help streamline your travel experience and make your waiting times shorter depending on the destination.

According to United, the sweepstakes is open to anyone 18 or over and vaccine information can be uploaded until June 22nd to qualify,
