Big changes are coming for airline passengers in the European Union, and it’s good news for international travelers. Airlines in the E.U. will no longer be permitted to charge additional fees for hand luggage on flights thanks to a proposal voted on by lawmakers in late June. According to the BBC, at recent protests participants shouted “Go Home!” at tourists filming them. Brazil’s Supreme Court has ruled that the federal government cannot require trans people to undergo medical procedures in order to change their gender markers on identification documents.  Prior to this ruling, transgender people in Brazil were able to change their genders and names on official documents only after receiving mandatory psychiatric evaluations and undergoing surgical procedures, plus, a judicial order from the Public Prosecutor. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued travel advisories for countries with high exposure risk to Dengue Fever.  According to Travel and Leisure, this means travelers in Central and South America, Southeast Asia, and other warm and humid regions should beware of exposure. Travelers to Thailand must now register for a Thailand Digital Arrival Card, or a (TDAC). The new requirement started May 1, 2025, and all non-Thai nationals entering the country by air, land, or sea, must complete the TDAC online prior to arrival.
