A senior administration official said the mandate expires Sunday, June 12 at 12:01 a.m. ET, saying the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has determined that it’s no longer necessary. On Sunday, June 21, more than 30 decorated boats formed a flotilla down the Intracoastal Waterway and up the New River into downtown Fort Lauderdale.
