Omni Junior Chef Program Elevates Kid’s Dining and Helps Donate Free Meals

The famed hotel and resort chain, Omni, has just launched a new on-property activation for kids called the Omni Junior Chef program. Upon arrival at hotels nationwide, children under 10 will be greeted with an Omni Junior Chef tote at check-in. The totes come complete with healthy snacks, juice boxes, crayons, coloring activities, and a Say Goodnight to Hunger postcard. If kids fill out the postcard and return it upon check-out, a free meal gets donated through Omni’s partnership with Feeding America.

Also included in the program are upgraded kid’s menus at Omni restaurants. According to a statement from Omni, the new menu will “feature locally inspired, kid-friendly fare with “heart-healthy,” “protein-packed,” and “gluten-free” meal designations” to help give kids a delicious and healthy meal that helps them understand the importance of good nutrition.

The Say Goodnight to Hunger postcard is part of Omni’s larger Say Goodnight to Hunger campaign, which has so far seen Omni properties donate more than 20 million meals to those facing food insecurity. Omni does this by partnering and donating to the renowned nonprofit, Feeding America.

“Omni Hotels & Resorts is dedicated to hunger relief and we believe in not just giving back, but encouraging our guests to participate, first-hand, in the hopes that they will take some of that home with them to their own communities after their stay,” said Peter Strebel, President, Omni Hotels & Resorts. “Now with our Junior Chefs program, we can reach and inspire guests from an early age on the importance of philanthropy and giving back.”

According to Omni, the Omni Junior Chef program will be rolled out nationwide by the end of the month and will be available at more than 50 properties.

To find out if the property you’re interested in is already featuring the program, check Omni’s website for specific information tailored to each location.
