The U.S. Census Bureau is looking to collect additional information on the sexual and gender identity of Americans by including new questions in future American Community Surveys.  The U.S. Census Bureau is responsible for collecting data about the United States’ population and economy. Starting on May 7, 2025 all U.S. citizens wishing to fly domestically and access certain federal facilities must have a driver’s license or identification card designated as a Real ID. The U.S. Department of State has issued a warning to American travelers around the world, as the crisis between Israel and Palestine ensues in the Middle East. The Department of State’s travel advisory states: “Due to increased tensions in various locations around the world, the potential for terrorist attacks, demonstrations, or violent actions against U.S. citizens and interests, the Department of State advises U.S. citizens overseas to exercise increased caution.”   The advisory follows additional warnings over the past week that advise U.S. citizens to reconsider travel to Israel and not to travel to the Gaza Strip or Lebanon.  Travelers abroad…

Last week, the European Council signed off on a new timeline for the implementation of the European Travel Information and Authorization System, or ETIAS, which is now scheduled to launch mid-2025. The new travel registration system, ETIAS, would require U.S. travelers hoping to enter the European Union in 2025 to complete an online form registering for their trip and pay a seven euro fee.
